Health history review
We start by understanding your full health picture — symptoms, diet, lifestyle, goals.
Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive assessment that reads your body’s neurological reflexes to look for the nutritional stress behind your symptoms — not just the symptoms themselves. What we find shapes a plan built around what your body is asking for.
Dr. Propper is a certified Nutrition Response Testing practitioner. If standard treatments haven’t given you answers, NRT may be the missing piece.

NRT reads your body’s neurological reflexes — specific points that correspond to organ and system function.
Dr. Propper identifies nutritional deficiencies and organ stress that standard blood work often misses. Painless, takes minutes.
Then we build your supplement plan around what your body actually told us it needs.
NRT has helped patients with a wide range of chronic concerns — particularly the ones that other approaches haven’t been able to explain.
Here’s what to expect when you come in for your NRT consultation.
We start by understanding your full health picture — symptoms, diet, lifestyle, goals.
Using your body's neurological reflexes, we identify specific nutritional deficiencies and organ stress.
Based on your results, we build a targeted plan using Standard Process whole-food supplements.
Regular check-ins make sure your body is responding and the plan evolves as you improve.
Functional medicine relies on extensive lab panels — thorough, but expensive, slow, and often inconclusive for chronic conditions.
NRT reads your body directly. In-office, results in minutes, no waiting weeks for bloodwork.
We believe your body is the best lab.
“My daughter had chronic headaches that her pediatrician couldn't explain. NRT showed she had specific nutritional deficiencies. Three months later, she's headache-free. Dr. Jenn is amazing with kids.”

An initial NRT session typically takes 45–60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are usually 20–30 minutes.
Most patients begin to notice changes within 4–6 weeks. Your plan is individualized — some conditions resolve quickly, others require longer support.
Yes. We carry Standard Process whole-food supplements, which are professional-grade and only available through healthcare practitioners. These are not the same as store-bought vitamins.
NRT itself is typically not covered by insurance. However, the chiropractic examination that accompanies it often is. Call (203) 226-1047 to discuss your options.
Yes. NRT is non-invasive and gentle, and we use it with children as well as adults. Many parents bring their kids in for nutritional support. Dr. Propper will talk through what to expect before anything begins.
While both use muscle testing principles, NRT is a specific clinical system focused on identifying nutritional deficiencies and designing targeted supplement protocols. It's more structured and nutrition-focused than general applied kinesiology.
Not automatically. Bring everything you're currently taking to your first visit — including anything prescribed by another provider — and we'll look at it together. The goal is a plan you can actually follow, not a longer shelf of bottles.
Most patients notice something within the first few weeks, though it varies with how long the issue has been building. We re-test as we go, so you're not left guessing whether the plan is working.
Both work. Nutrition Response Testing is offered in person and by telehealth to patients throughout Connecticut, so you don't need to live nearby to start.
No. Plenty of people come in for Nutrition Response Testing alone. Others combine it with regular adjustments, which is easy to arrange if you decide you want both.
